OK to drive to Seattle from Minnesota within december?

I am planning a trip to Seattle, Washington in December. I be wondering if it would be a good hypothesis to drive. We are planning on driving I-94 the whole approach. My main verbs is the mountains. Will it be a white knuckle ride the whole course? We will be having a cell phone near, just surrounded by case.

The mountain passes are treacherous and they are habitually closed in the winter.

Do not attempt this minus carrying chains with you. And be prepared for long delay. Have plenty of emergency supplies. People have be known to be stuck for up to 3 days near no place to stay while the passes are closed.
I would label certain I be prepared for any emergency -- take blankets extra coats, chains etc. Better to own them and not need them -- than not to enjoy them.
I wouldn't recommend this drive during "prime" winter months such as December to anyone.

You are looking at driving part of the pack of Minnesota, completely across North Dakota (I-94) is pretty desolate even along his highway. Not to mention North Dakota's winter road maintence isn't great. No salt use and little sand use. Next you'll be traveling completely across Montana (pretty much matching as North Dakota). After this you'll be traveling across Idaho (not great in the snow). Now you'll be entering Washington (again not exactly a winter drive paradise).

You're chitchat about a long technically rural drive (and by rural I mean nil in between towns that are miles and miles apart) surrounded by states that generally own a decent amount snow backlog, lots of deer crossings. This area (ND and MT) tend to enjoy what we call "dry snow" and due to the famine of trees the snow (even when not actively snowing) blows and blows across the roadways making blizzard like conditions for visibility and near high gusting wind. Then when the winds are not blowing you will own to contend with truckers who still regard as 70 mph is okay in winter conditions, as they elapse you whether headed the other direction or are ratification you on a dotted line you will experience "snow fog" purpose the wind generate by the truck going so fast creates blizzard resembling conditions and zero visiability at once around your vehicle.

Now taking all this sanctuary into consideration, I would suggest weighing your fuel costs, hotel and lunchtime costs, the very indisputable possibility that you will be significantly delayed due to road/weather conditions; and consider flying.

Please note that surrounded by Idaho and the mountainous areas of Montana you will encounter "chain areas" within which you are supposed to put chains around your tires for added traction to keep you on the twisted hills that do not enjoy guard rails.
