Has anyone used meetup.com surrounded by seattle?
Is it good for a personage new within town? Any other suggestions?

I did when I first moved here but the participation contained by activities be pretty lame. The monthly coffee get-together was OK I guess but when I want it be like adjectives these little groups of people that have obviously already met eachother. A bit clique-ish. I concluded up only discussion to one person - another first time going to the congregation person!
I've found the best style to meet ancestors here was to return with involved with an company as a volunteer. I volunteer with a cat shelter immediately and have made moderately a few really nice friends.
There's also another social group called Space City Mixers - http://www.spacecitymixers.com The cool piece about that group is you with the sole purpose pay for events you want to jump to. And they have some fun stuff close to kayaking, game night, happy hours, etc. Events and Adventures is another one they own in Seattle but it's nuts - you wage like an initiation levy, a monthly fee and later fees for everything you do with the group - total rip stale!
