How come I can't gain NECN on Direct-TV?

It is a local cable station. All the cable stations that they make available are national. They merely have so masses channels, and I don't devise many folks outside the area would study it. They fixed this problem a while back near the over-the -air stations. They now bring in these available in respectively market for an superfluous fee. I don't see them making local cable outlets available anytime soon, but who know.
