At the distinguished canyon theres a train kinda of expensive!
The drive is about 200 miles from phx. via I-17 to flagstaff afterwards west on I-40 to Williams Az. north puts you on south rim better choice is north Rim for views and crowdes...
I am a frequent visitor to the Canyon. The train is out of Williams Arizona.
Well you first go towards Las Vegas to Williams. At williams here is a train and it will take you to the Grand Canyon
rob route north from Phoenix
Don't contemplate there is a train and it would require connections (to cumbersome). Best to rent a vehicle, if possible. If not, later there are numerous tour companies nominated in the Phoenix pallid pages.
2 day by day shuttle from PHX airport to William, then ambush grand canyon train ($65)

It's about a four hour drive from Phoenix. The train your have an idea that of is the Grand Canyon Railroad, but that leaves from Williams, AZ. It's neat to step by railroad, but it may just be easier to drive. If you drive you can check out different rims of the canyon, the north, south, east or west. Plus you may want to check out the new Horseshoe bridge, it's shapped close to a horse shoe and has a cup floor so you can see down into the canyon.
Not sure in the region of a train that takes you from Phoenix to the GC. But I know there's a train tour. The train station is contained by Williams, AZ and head to the GC.
