D.C. Residents?
Hi, I'm Going To D.C. Today. I Think I'm Going To Be Going To Chinatown First. I Also Wanted To Go To Wisconsin Avenue For Shopping?
Whats The Distance From Chinatown To Wisconsin Avenue In Miles, And Minutes For Walking
Thanks :-)
Answers:
i dont consider you'll want to walk from chinatown to wisconsin avenue. they arent close to respectively other at all.
Chinatown is not much of a draw anymore, unless you like a bunch of cuff stores and restaurants. Some of the locals sardonically call it Chinablock, which is H Street NW between 6th and 7th Streets essential the arch. It's also not really walkable to Wisconsin Avenue.
Wisconsin Avenue is pretty long--it extends several miles through the District, so it helps to know where on earth on Wisconsin you want to go.
Walk a couple blocks north on 7th Street to Massachusetts Avenue and you can pick up the Circulator (a bright red bus) towards Georgetown for shopping along M Street and Wisconsin Avenue. You can walk south on 7th to Pennsylvania Avenue and nick the 32, 34, 35, or 36 Metrobus towards Friendship Heights. That will go along M Street within Georgetown and all the means of access up Wisconsin Avenue to the DC-Maryland line (the Friendship Heights Metro station on the Red Line). If you want to be on the north wrap up of Wisconsin, you can take the Red Line Metro towards Shady Grove to the Friendship Heights or Tenleytown stations.
Not walkable. It's really far. I would suggest after visiting "chinablock" lmao hop on the train (right (a) gallery place/ chinatown). Wisconsin ave stretches far. It runs from georgetown ancient chevy chase and on into bethesda (that's as far as i've gone on it).
if you are planning to do your shopping in georgetown, consequently hope on the circular bus. If you wanna do friendship heights chevy chase, later take the red strip train.
Have fun.
