Chicago Resident?
Is New York really like Chicago? How are they alike and how are they diffrent??

New York is pretty different from Chicago. I grew up surrounded by Chicago, and visited NYC a year ago and here's what I notice...
NYC is much larger than Chicago, much more busy, and much more crowded. NYC is also kind of filthy, nearby are just something like no alleys so all of the debris gets bag and piled up on the streets. Then next to all of the tourists, they of late can't keep up near the litter and gum all over the streets. Chicago is totally clean for a big city.
NYC is more expensive than Chicago surrounded by more ways than rent...restaurants, clothing, stuff like that be crazy expensive. I went and get a buffalo chicken sandwich at one of those deli's out there and rewarded $20 for a sandwich.
Other than that, things are pretty similar...they both lots to do, lots of history and museums.
Personally though I really enjoyed it, I couldn't see living surrounded by NYC. Chicago is more laid back, but if you want to find the things that NYC have to offer it's near.
