Where are some well-mannered places to explore on the drive from Virginia down to Orlando, FL?

Any suggestions for awesome things that tourists won't normally attain to see?

Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston are all well turned-out areas in NC/SC close by I-95, but be warned that it is probably two hours round trip from the interstate to these areas. Some closer distractions you may want to check out include Hilton Head Island, Savannah, Harris Neck NWR, Georgia's Golden Isles, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine. All of these areas are inside 30 min. of the interstate. I especially recommend Savannah and Jacksonville!
Will you be coming down I-95 or I-77? That will affect what I recommend.

I would definitely recommend Wilmington and if you hold time go down Hwy 17 to Calabash. Some of the best seafood you will ever enjoy. It is definitely worth the drive.
Also Oak Island is impressively nice - beaches are great!
yea make sure you stop at south of border surrounded by South carolina...its sooooooooooo fun!
It depends on which path you are coming down here. If you are coming down I-95, stop at South of the Border. It is a great place to visit. Savannah, GA is also nice. After you find past Jacksonville, FL, near is St. Augustine, FL. The place is loaded with history and various things to see. Then, you can stop at Daytona Beach, FL. if you like.
But, once you acquire ot I-4 which leads to Orlando, there's not much to see. There is the Seminole Town Centre, a shopping shopping precinct. It's not too bad as malls move about.
Myrtle shore south carolina. go to the restraunt ***** ending resort. it is sooooooooooooo good
i cant spell this right but i am going to try.. Itchanatachi springs it is a natural spring out side of gainsvile within fl. you can rent rafts and go down the spring. def worth the money
but it depends on when you be in motion.
the spring is in a park and if you turn during the summer its nice cause the spring is other 72 degrees or something

gainsville is nice but alot of race go to st. augustine end in it is a big tourist area and alot of stuff to do plus it is a moment ago off 95

so is daytona shore but its just ok here.
Be sure to get stale the highway just in the past St. Augustine Florida and check out the old town as you drive through - won't give somebody a lift long and it is a real purdy place!

And the place that History Buff is referring to is Ichetucknee Springs contained by Florida.
