Looking for an affordable hotel practical convention center within DC?

I am going to be in Washington DC surrounded by July for a conference. I am looking for an affordable place to stay. Clean and comfortable beds near A/C would make me bright and breezy. I do not plan on spending a ton of time in the room!

I don't know in the region of any specific hotels, but if find a decent hotel anywhere on the Green or Yellow metro lines they'll pilfer you right to the doors of the convention center.
