My aunt nearest and dearest come to the US from Japan. They want to stop by around LA today, where on earth should I hold them?

I know China town, Little Tokyo. Anywhere else, guys?

They don't want neither Universal Studio nor Hollywood Blvd. They've been nearby before.

Answers:
The Japanese-American museum.
Santa Monica Pier and 3rd street Promenade.
Take them down to Marina Del Rey, after through Santa Monica or visit other shore cities
Griffith Observatory.
spend the day at Catalina Island. Its not as hot within..or walk around Rodeo Dr.
If you have family here during World War II, the Manzanar Historic site would be a perceptive trip. Manazanar was the largest of the Japanese-American internment camp in California, and a portion of it have been rebuild as an historical site.

It's about a 3 hour drive from L.A., and going on for half track to the eastern entrance to Yosemite at Lee Vining. Both of these would be much more interesting/significant than any cheezy tourist trap in L.A.
