If I adopt profession at Toyota, should I commute from north side(avoid south)?
I have a kismet for employment at Toyota in San Antonio.
Reading around going on for San Antonio's safe areas to live, the simply side that seems to carry recommended is the north side. Particularly the south is deemed unsafe but to be precise where Toyota is located.
I would stipulation an apartment, not a house. I can't seem to find any angelic reviews of south side apartments.
Is it a pain to commute from north to south? how is traffic?
Thank you.

I'm drastically surprised that you were even considered for the available job since when they started hiring, Toyota announced that they would only hire ethnic group living in absolute zip codes. Check that out first.
Live in a small town south or southeast of the city. They are immensely nice and the traffic is much better. that's what I would do.
"(The typical south side activity)" - Oh dear, you are so wrong. I live on the South Side of town, and I hold never witnessed any "gang activity" problems.
In response to the asker, I'd very much recommend moving to the South Side, generally because the traffic is so heavy on the North Side. The South Side is as "unsafe" as anywhere else contained by San Antonio. I'm not sure where you are getting your information, but most of the family here have lived surrounded by this community for decades, and they are very friendly. Please do not tolerate anyone scare you give or take a few this side of town!
TAKE THE JOB! But, don't live on the south side. Yeah, they're building topical homes and businesses but there is potential for the current south side residents to verbs in and ruin the current neighborhoods with vandalism, gang buzz, and drugs. (The typical south side activity)
If you move to the north side (outside loop 410) you'll find a lot of apartments. It's around 26 miles from the good neighborhoods contained by San Antonio. If you live anywhere near 281 North you can only take 281 into downtown, exit I-35 and you're on your agency. The traffic isn't that bad on those highway.
There is some really nice apartments off of 281 (a) 1604. That is a wonderful nouns with no vandalism, gang, or low-life people and seriously of shopping and a hospital near by. It's close to everything. I grew up surrounded by that part of town and we never have anything happen around at hand. It's a very undamaging area.
The south side is undergoing tremendous growth and coppers. Not only is at hand the Toyota plant, but TAMU is looking at locations for a campus on the south side. The south side was long neglected, but things are picking up. I revulsion to tell the guy this, but at hand are "bad influences on every side of SA. Plus, 281/1604 North is nil but a parking lot every morning/afternoon. I should know, I have to run the gauntlet every morning, 5 days a week. Come for a visit, look over adjectives places around SA, and pick what you like!
I live on the SE side of town... It's a intensely nice mix of country and city... I don't really know why some people are truism bad things in the order of this side of town, but I have lived here for 23 years, and I own never seen a single feat of violence contained by this area.
It is also the most conceivably priced area surrounded by SA.
Traffic going to Toyota from the North side is HORRID! I got stuck surrounded by it on Tuesday and was behind schedule for a mediation training for elem. school students. A suggestion that i enjoy is to look for some duplexes and four-plexes in the nouns... They are privately owned so they wouldn't be reviewed, but there are some nice ones around here.
I can not speak to any apartments surrounded by particular on the south side as I from time to time travel south of Durango Street.
There are, however, several nice areas on the south side of San Antonio, and new contruction of neighborhoods is occuring adjectives the time.
As far as crime and safety go, a review of the crime statistics by zipcode show that the north side has a crime rate 124% of the national average. The west/northwest side (in the Sea World Area) have the lowest crime rate, and the southside and east side areas are both above the national average. Just reading the blanket statistics and the summary numbers it would seem the best place to live would be west/northwest. However, the west/northwest side have the highest plane of murders and rapes, but the lowest level of "reported thefts". The North side especially the nouns already mentioned around 281/1604 with it's large rate of crime has the lowest stratum of violent crimes (murder/rape) contained by the city and a higher horizontal of reported crime significantly theft and nouns. The southside has an above the national average plane of violent crime.
So every nouns of a major city have it's problems, just prefer do you want your car stereo and trappings gone or your life.
Incidentally, I in a minute live in north inner San Antonio. I have to agree next to the first responder about the apartments around here, but I would also suggest an apartment contained by Northwest SA out the I 10 corridor, there are several great apartments nearby and I 10 goes straight downtown and merges beside I 35 to the southside.
Good Luck in SATX
But if you move here you enjoy to love the Spurs (it's a city ordinance)
They are building some nice condo's south of downtown. I totally disagree with Kevin roughly speaking the south side of San Antonio, I am a member of the Southside Chamber of Commerce and not adjectives residents of the southside are drug addicts, child abusers or welfare cheats. That is basically a narrow minded view.
My son in ruling works for Toyota and is building a custom home near the plant.
Note to Liz: Its nice to see another entity tell the truth nearly the southside. There are a lot of great those who are proud to live on the southside.
