Will here be a problem catching a cab at Penn Station lately after midnight?
And, will they readily let me put luggage within the trunk? Last time I was near, I had carry-on stuff beside me and I just get in the minicab with it, but this time I will actual luggage. Do they charge you extra for using the trunk as some t.v. shows show or is that purely a joke? And do I inevitability to worry in the order of getting my luggage out once I get to my stop? This will adjectives be during week. Thanks.

There's a minicab stand on 7th ave. There should be a no problems getting a cab after midnight. It is the city that never sleeps after adjectives.
the 50c night surcharge is for your together trip, not per minute, not per mile, nor anything like that...
Ever heard of, "The city that never sleeps,"? It shouldn't be unyielding. Especially near Penn Station.
There shouldn't be a charge for using the trunk.
You will own absolutely NO problem catching a hackney cab at Penn Station after midnight. On the contrary, you will see TONS of them, especially during weekend nights taking tourists, associates going to the clubs/bars, etc.
There is NO charge for luggage being placed surrounded by the trunk, and the cabbie would assist you with your luggage once you get hold of to your destination.
The 50c night surcharge is in recent times for the trip...not for added miles or minutes at night within addition to the regular fare.
No you will not own a problem getting a taxi after midnight and you will not be charged for luggage. The city is severely much awake at midnight, especially the penn station area so don't verbs about. :-)
I agree with Soothsay.
On the tardy evening, taxis are smaller number but taxis other stand near hotel or hackney carriage stand next to Amtrak escalator at 7th Av/32nd St. If you going uptown, you should detain on 8th Av side, so it wouldn't cost you additional.
Taxi fare are based on meter.:
Initial charge is $2.50 and darkness surcharge from 2000 hours to 6000 hours are 50cent surcharge.
They do not charge for luggage.
i do know there are several taxis baggy out at the port authority bus terminal after midnight, so i would say in attendance would be taxis slack out at penn station after midnight because trains do come in after midnight and individuals need taxi too.
