I am moving to Pasadena CA nouns to work contained by LAUSD,what areas toget/not to obtain an apart. surrounded by and averg. rent cost
Answers:
stay in center
Use Colorado & Lake street and Colorado and fwy as a focal point and slowly move out from those areas (lots of apartments in this vicinity). Avoid north. Also the areas that but against Eagle Rock/Glendale aren't too desperate either. Going to the south (towards So Pas) is terrifically nice but gets more $$$
South Pas. is cool. Most apts. are running AT LEAST $1000 a month, if more. Stay in the suburbs, if you can. L.A. is CRAZY now!
Avoid the north side of Pasadena. A really nice quiet nouns of Pasadena would be near Pasadena City College and CalTech. There are lots of nice apartments, sluggish, decent, past the worst, in the nouns east of Lake, west of Hill, south of Colorado, north of Del Mar. We paid in the order of $1200 for a 2 bedroom 1200 square foot place but that was just about 7 years ago.
Some of them are pretty expensive but considering that a lot of college students live within the area, sometimes you can find other especially with roommates.
upright luck...

To win an idea of rents you might check http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ If you want to live surrounded by Pasadena you probably do not want to live in the Northwest segment most other areas are OK
Try Alhambra
In Pasadena, just avoid the northwest fragment.
South Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Altadena, and Arcadia are good places in the neighbourhood.
Look to spend $1,000 - $2,000 for a 1BR.
