What are the safest areas that I should look for when I start my rummage for an apartment contained by Chicago?

I am moving there next to my toddler. We like to nick walks and shift the park and would like to surface safe when doing so. We appreciably can't afford a pricey area...where on earth would you suggest or not suggest in Chicago?

ok did that guy just vote the south side? do not listen to him. that is a desperate side of chicago.

are you looking in the suburbs too? because in that are some pretty affordable suburbs that you can live in. and if you work contained by chicago you can take the highway straight within.

i recommend

rogers park (chicago) but only some parts of it
villa park (western suburb) have plenty of prairie paths and is kid friendly
lombard (town subsequent to villa park)
aurora (part of it)
Lincoln Park, Rogers Park, and Edgewater are nearest and dearest friendly places, but you will need to look pretty all right for areas that meet your rent price capacity. Rogers Park I would be pretty careful within since some places may not be too safe since you want to be someplace that's all right lit and not secluded at specific times of the daytime and night. Go on google and look on www.chicagoapartmentfinders.com and contact someone give or take a few what your specific needs are or you can check this site call www.move.com and another one called www.apartmentguide.com. Hope that help
There are no 100% locked places in the city of Chicago. If you really want to be safe and sound, move to the suburbs.

Even places like Lincoln Park, Old Town and Lakeview which are illustrious rent districts have their issues beside crime. If you do have to live contained by the city pick an appartment that has biddable security features and have well lit entriyways and exits. And rather get parking next to the building you're renting so you won't be out late looking for a parking spot and enjoy to walk 4-5 blocks home by yourself contained by the dark.
If you can't afford a pricy area, afterwards look around the South Side... it's really nice there for individuals on a budget.
I like the Hyde Park nouns, Blue Island
'East Rogers Park'

Or away from downtown..'Garfield Ridge.' A great area and have lots of parks.

Look into 'Lincoln Park'..its considered expensive, but look around for yourself, maybe youd be capable of afford something there.
