3rd st Promenade in Santa Monica or the Griffith Park Observatory
Expensive option:
1.Try the "Window" restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. The dinner is fine but the view is fantastic! (and romantic too.) Costs about $50/person.
Not-so-expensive option:
1.Try the "Cast-away" restaurant located on the hill top of San Gabriel mountain at Burbank (Yes, it's within Burbank.). You can overlook at Burbank and Glendale, the view is also amazing.
2. Griffith Park Observatory, that's another spot to see the entire Los Angeles. No costs. Just take care especially when it's dark at darkness.
