our trip is for 3 weeks in los angeles and san diego from 8/8/2008 to 29/8/2008 , and i'd similar to any suggestion or recommendation for undertakings and things to do there .

I'd like to mount a cause to encourage populace not to go anywhere. Travel have become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to recognize why people don't stay home.
Why are we crowding our highway and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazine are filled beside ads trying to bring us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.
San Diego-Sea World, Lego Land, Old Town, Downtown, beach, Cabrillo National Monument and tidal pools, Coronado Island.
Los Angeles-You already mentioned Disney and Universal. There is also Highland Avenue, Venice Beach, Olivero Street.
There is quite a bit between the two. Take the scenic route up/down the coast and stop contained by Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and/or San Capistrano.
