Cities close to NYC?
My dad was a short time ago offered a job contained by NYC. We're looking for any cities near in that, with a clothed price range within homes. We'd prefer CT or in NY. Any oblige would be great!

Try Westchester County. For a million you could go beside the Bronxville/Tuckahoe area, Rye, Harrison or within CT go beside Greenwich.
Pretty much any town in Westchester County is nice. Except for Yonkers. and White Plains can be characteristics of iffy.
Fairfield County Connecticut is nice as well. Greenwich is super expensive. Norwalk is a short time farther east but is also very nice.
Stay away from Long Island.

I'll focus on Westchester County, NY, where I live, and some of the just round the corner Connecticut towns.
Some of the closest Westchester County towns, with somewhat affordable housing prices, tend to be White Plains, Eastchester, Greenburgh, Tarrytown, Irvington, and New Rochelle. Most of these communities are roughly a half-hour Metro North train ride to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Commuters within Westchester predominantly take trains into NYC and the Metro North train lines are glibly accessible in these communities. Your Dad will hold to do some research on housing prices in these communities, which tend to come and go upwards from about $400,000. I would vote that's a low to middle average price on homes. There are many other communities -- usually beside top-notch school systems -- where on earth average housing prices are $750,00 and up. It's not uncommon surrounded by this county to live in a $1 million home.
Schools within Westchester tend to be among the best in the nation, although surrounded by some communities, elementary schools are better than they are at the large school height. This is an important point to check out.
Connecticut towns closest to Manhattan are Greenwich, which is located close to the NY boundary, and Stamford, a diverse large city. Depends on what you mean by "fully clad price range." The closer you are to NYC, the more expensive the house. The average house price within the suburbs of NYC is just beneath $1,000,000.
For that price extent.Westchester County is perfect. Harrison, Rye, Scarsdale. If living within an condo in a city, White Plains IS angelic if you are in the heart of downtown (such as City Center).
In Greenwich, CT, a million would procure you a decent home since specifically VERY rich territory at hand. Stamford is good for that city living...but once again, surrounded by the HEART of downtown.
