Where to be in motion to see SNOW surrounded by Washington State?
My boyfriend is coming to town next weekend and he really desires to see the snow, the mountains, etc. Washington state is famous for (where he lives there's no snow ever).
I moved here just this minute so I don't know all the devout places very all right, but I want to take him to see the mountais and some snow. Anybody know where on earth to take him? We're not into serious, several-days hiking, we a moment ago want to spend some time in the snow next go spinal column to the city. It'd be best if there be a tour or something to a mountain. I live in Marysville, so nil in Eastern WA will do.

Also, anybody know if you can lift a ferry minus a car and basically for the experience of going on a boat? I want to take him on a transfer trip too, but I don't know anytrhing about the islands, close to what to do or where to shift once you're in the island.

Snow--best places to be in motion this time of year-would be the mountains. Stevens Pass -Hwy 2. Or, possibly Mt. Rainier. Depends on the current freezing and snow levels at the time of his trip here.
Ferry Boats--Yes, you can way of walking on-best place to go for sightseeing-Friday Harbor. It's a small town you can hike around. Or, the Edmonds-Kingston ferry. Kingston is variety of small, not as good as Friday Harbor. However, here is also the Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry run as powerfully. Just feel free to check beside the WA State Ferry System.
As for tours whether mountains or water, please get the impression free to call the tourist bus companies surrounded by the area.
By the road, to head over Stvens Pass on Hwy 2-it take a few hours to drive over the pass, and into a town call Leavenworth-a little Bavarian style "touristy" town. Takes about 4-6 hrs. to drive in that. Mt. Rainier is a pretty big sized mountain, with trails to stride.

I really think though, unless you are competent to go to the mountains, the solely way your friend is going to see the snow is from lately driving along I-5, or looking out a window facing east. Or, up within Marysville, to look up, and you can also drive up somewhat up this mountain, is Mt. Pilchuck. I don't know that you can drive up to the snow level, it's pretty big this time of the year. Especially with adjectives the heat surrounded by W. WA this past week. However, as it cools down a bit, and I don`t know when the rain comes vertebrae, the snow level might drop down a 100 ft. or so. But to "look" east, at the snow, contained by Marysville, just walk up 4th St. -as it becomes 64th St NE, you can look up and see the snow on Mt. Pilchuck, and a few other mountains surrounded by the area.

I agree with the above. Take Hwy 410 out of Sumner heading east until you hit the summit of Chinook leave behind. Park your car and hold fun rolling around in adjectives the snow you need.
If you want to see snow surrounded by Mt. Rainier, just progress to "Paradise".
From Seattle (about 87 miles away) or Tacoma (about 65 miles away), take Hwy 5 south to Hwy 512 east. Exit onto Hwy 7 (Pacific Avenue). Follow Hwy 7 south to Elbe and verbs on Hwy 706 east to the Nisqually Entrance.
You may have to trudge up a little, but in attendance hasn't been a great deal of snowmelt yet, so you might carry lucky. The rangers should be capable of help you.
As for the transfer, you can just "hoof it on" and ride it over and back. You do hold to pay a passenger tax, but it's no more than $7-8.
If you want to go to the San Juan Islands (which I would recommend), rob the ferry from Anacortes. Park at the terminal and step on, get bad in Friday Harbor and run on a whale watching tour. If you don't want to do that, San Juan Island has a shuttle bus that will pinch you to the popular tourist destinations.

The best place to progress for snow is at the top of hwy 410 at Lake Tipsoo, there is 13 foot of snow and tons of trails, my cousin goes shoing up near. Patradise is also good and you can try Sunrise adjectives along the way!
I'd budge to Mt. Baker. It has snow year-round. Since you are already surrounded by Marysville, you should be able to confidently see it from there, you know it is other white. Take SR 542 out of Bellingham.
And you can always hike onto a ferry. It's cheaper than taking a sports car. You can also take bikes and things onto them. you can jump to http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/ to find info and schedules for the ferry.
