What's it similar to to live surrounded by Las Vegas?
I'm moving to Vegas for 3 months in March, and I a short time ago need to know a few things give or take a few it. How is public transportation? does it run 24/7? What's it like outside of the tourist traps? Any pieces of warning?

PT is awful. I own a car but work and chat to my frineds that use the bus. They hate it. not dependable. And to be precise not just LV but Henderson as powerfully.
Other than that. This is paradise. I live here and work here and it is the most wonderful place to live.
You can wallow in this place if you do not need to be dependent ont he bus. Maybe you hook up next to a friend and get a sports car ride and share the expenses.
Good luck to you
24 hours a day on the bus, but they do not adhere to the Timetable.
Public transportation sucks.
The city is too big for the valley, smog is a constant problem and crime is growing. They are short on river and trying to steal it from rural counties hundreds of miles away.
On the flip side, housing prices are way down and if you get good credit, you can really do all right on a house.
A lot of public transportation runs very behind schedule, some 24/7.
Outside the tourist area, it's resembling any other city with gaming in the grocery store, though. Traffic sucks. Live close to where on earth you work, especially if you are using public transportation.

I lived near for 2 years... 1961 thru 1963 and it's just similar to any other town it's size once you get away from the making a bet.
You tend to eat out plentifully because food is such a bargain. You don't want your young at heart children to go to college there and you own to put up with some of the worst those in the world... I call them "Cockroach People" because you never see them out in the daylight.
Vegas is not a high crime city. I have an idea that the person who said stay past its sell-by date the "back streets" be talking roughly speaking the extremely poor area merely a little ways stale the strip. Every city has a poor, glorious crime area, that's not distinctive to Vegas.
It's a very ordinary city once you get away from the strip. Transportation does run 24/7, and it seem like stores are stretch out a bit later next they are in oodles places (not everything is open 24/7 though, not even within the casinos.) There are always job available here and the city is very verbs.
omg populace think that it is tough to live in vegas or something. we are newly normal ethnic group like any other state, simply the strip is closer so your vacation is cheaper.lol, Public transperation is some areas is really really unpromising but if you live in Henderson or Green Valley later you will be fine with the PT. Not adjectives of the PT is open 24/7 it freshly depends on where you live. About the outside of the tourist map it is just a conventional place that gets really hot within the summer(get a pool) and it is ok in the winter but after you live at hand for a while than it is freezing in the winter and you wont be capable of go to the snow anymore...lol..
what Kat Vic said is 1000% right on!!...There is crime here every afternoon on the news, don't know why if some really lived here would no know that..
u get 2 blocks rotten the strip, u wont even know u are in vegas. it will simply like any other town where on earth people walk to work every day and complain roughly speaking the paper boy and stir to soccor games.
Not all of the PT is sympathetic 24/7 it just depends on where on earth you live. I would suggest living in Green Vally, Henderson, the Lakes, Aliante or Summerlin close to me..safer areas. stay away from the east side at night until you carry familiar next to the area. Once you get hold of away from the strip you would never guess your in Vegas.
Stay off the wager on streets after dark if you plus your life, I pray you dont wage, you will leave poor-broke-and-scantless, public transportation is approaching any other city, cabs, busses, the works. No trains though, that's not to good. I guess they dont involve them really come to think of it. There is allot of crime contained by Vegas after dark, and some contained by the day even, a short time ago worst at night. They own gang problems also. and it is mostly shut-down between 3:am and 5:am: I guess to clean up, but even later some joints are sympathetic. Vegas is mostly just a "Tourist-Trap", plain and simple. I dont reflect it's a good place to elevate a family i.e. for sure! okay to visit though, for a week, no-more. Hope this help! Just my opinion mind you, others might say-so different, But it was the route I seen it living near a year. Hated it. And I do-not gamble. Anyways, You Take Care and God-Bless to You and Yours.
