From WHERE to the airport? Taxis charge by the minute and the mile. We can't say how much a hackney carriage ride will cost without knowing where on earth you are going to/from, so that we can estimate the time/distance.
The last time I took a hackney carriage to the airport, it was $60. I'll never do that again. It's twice the price of Shuttle Express, and the minicab drivers can't read a map or speak English, while the Shuttle Express drivers can. I recommend Shuttle Express.
