Can anyone recommend a perfect hotel contained by NYC, around $100 a hours of darkness?

I'm going to NYC in March & I'm looking for a hotel. I'm finding cheap rates on splash, but I don't want to stay at a dump. Can anyone suggest a place in the city?

Answers:
Not for $100. If you are going to see the sights, I honestly would look for a place outside of the city (southern Westchester county contained by NY) and take the train within. It's a 15-20 minute ride.
For $100, you'll call a halt up in any a DUMP, a hostel, or a hotel in the city but FAR AWAY from Manhattan. The Milford Plaza is the just hotel that I know of in Manhattan i.e. cheap by Manhattan standards, but I've always hear people complain going on for it. Just in overnight case others recommend you that place...DON'T DO IT!

Expect to plunk around AT LEAST $200 a night for accomodations within Manhattan that are decent. You don't hold to go for the Waldorf-Astoria, but next again, you don't have to stay within a dive or "hot sheet" either.
2 Stars - The Holiday Inn Express Queens-Midtown Tunnel. It have beautiful furnishings and a fantastic friendly staff. It is located just a few minutes drive to Manhattan and only a few minutes stroll from the number 7 Subway/Train Station leading directly into Manhattan and tons other points of interest. The hotel is only 1/2 mile away and the Queensboro Bridge is simply as close.
Price: USD181 per night as of today’s rate.
Price change with season. Please check formerly booking.
