Is USC or UCLA closer to Hollywood?
Which one is closer, and on average how long does it take to drive at hand from each college?
Answers:
Ucla and USC are around the same distance.
Los Angeles is such a big place. Hollywood also in LA nouns, so it depend where are you live within Hollywood? search on mapquest.com, enter your genesis address and your destination (to each Univ), and it will tell you how many miles driving and how long it will take!
From USC it is about 10 miles to the boundary of Hollywood. From UCLA it is more or less 8 miles to the boundary of Hollywood. The commute is about 15 miles – assuming no traffic; longer if at hand is traffic.
Distance and commute time really depends on where on campus you are, and which sector of Hollywood you are talking roughly.
USC is closer. Try the average on google.
UCLA. UCLA is surrounded by Beverly Hills, a few miles west of W. Hollywood, and Hollywood is just to the east of in that.
USC is downtown, actually for a time south of downtown. If you are traveling from the east side of Holllywood (i.e. Koreatown) then USC might be closer, but if you live surrounded by W. Hollywood or Hollywood proper, then UCLA is closer, and you don't hold to take a freeway to gain there as you do for USC.
There is no "average" driving contained by LA. Either trip could take 10 minutes, or it could help yourself to an hour. It just depends on what time of light of day you are traveling.
Pretty much impossible to tell apart distance to both. Depends what side of Hollywood you want to go.
USC is closer, being within south-central Los Angeles, while UCLA is out in Westwood, various miles from central Los Angeles.
